    • Good point! Looking it up I see that Little Folks was founded in 1871 (“Little Folks – A Magazine for the Young”). “16 pages, then a monthly average of 64 pages from 1877” – “6 pence in its monthly version before 1914, climbing up to 1 shilling in the 1920s.”.

      The boy’s paper The Rover started in 1922, The Wizard in the same year. The Beano and The Dandy didn’t appear until the 1930s.
